We’re Hiring!

American Horse Appraisal, LLC is currently seeking part-time, commission-based horse appraisers. Applicants must possess an extensive background in the horse industry and demonstrate experience in one or more of the following equine areas:

  • Training

  • Showing

  • Competing

  • Buying And Selling Horses

  • Riding Instruction

  • Rodeo

In addition, applicants must have great communication skills, be well organized, and have the willingness to take the initiative to work without supervision. This is not for the backyard type of horse enthusiast.

Commission-Based Pay

Level 1 Appraiser - 60/40

  • Level 1 Appraisers can typically charge $500-$1,500/per appraisal 

  • Appraiser earns 60% of appraisal fee

  • American Horse Appraisal is paid 40% of the appraisal fee.

Applicant is required to have a certificate of completion of The Principles of Valuation training course issued from the American Society of Equine Appraisers.

Level 2 Appraiser - 70/30

  • Level 2 Appraisers can typically charge from $1,500-$5,000/per appraisal

  • Appraiser earns 70% of appraisal fee

  • American Horse Appraisal is paid 30% of the appraisal fee.

Applicant is required to have a certificate of completion of The Advanced Principles of Valuation training course issued from the American Society of Equine Appraisers.

Level 3 Appraiser - 80/20

  • Level 3 Appraiser can typically charge $5,000+ per appraisal

  • Appraiser earns 80% of appraisal fee

  • American Horse Appraisal is paid 20% of the appraisal fee.

  • Applicant is required to have a current certificate of The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)

  • Applicant must have a completed log showing that they have completed 700 hours of billable appraisal hours

Applicant is required to have a certificate of completion of The Principles of Valuation training course AND The Advanced Principles of Valuation training course issued from the American Society of Equine Appraisers.
